Set Features
The test system is shown in the circuit diagram below. It is mainly composed of a partial discharge-free test transformer (B1), a voltage regulator (TY), a protective resistor (R), and a capacitive voltage divider (C1, C2). These parts work together to ensure stable voltage control and accurate partial discharge testing.
High-voltage low-current transformers use thick insulation to withstand high voltage, but heat from coil losses is harder to remove. To improve efficiency and reduce load loss, the current density of the winding conductors is controlled below 2.2 A/mm².
The high-voltage winding uses a cylindrical “pagoda” structure to keep the winding stable after vacuum drying and discharge tests. The core is designed with low magnetic flux density (below 1.5 T) to ensure low waveform distortion, and is made of high-quality grain-oriented silicon steel with precise lamination and epoxy reinforcement for tight structure.
The whole transformer adopts a fully insulated enclosure design, using high-density insulating cylinders with excellent moisture resistance and low leakage current. It is filled with No.25 transformer oil, and sealed with high-performance fluororubber gaskets that offer strong resistance to wear, heat, and voltage stress.
All materials are strictly inspected before production. Copper wires are controlled for consistent resistance, and winding parameters such as turns, conductor size, insulation paper, and dimensions are carefully managed to ensure stable performance and high reliability.
