Comprehensive Partial Discharge Detection Equipment
Partial discharge (PD) occurs due to insulation defects in high-voltage equipment, generating detectable signals like light, sound, and vibrations. Monitoring these signals helps identify potential hazards and prevent further damage. Wrindu's handheld PD detector uses TEV, AE, UHF, and HFCT methods to measure PD magnitude and display waveforms. It’s designed for testing various electrical equipment like GIS, switchgears, and transformers, and allows for storing and retrieving 2D/3D PD data. The device assesses PD severity by measuring intensity (maximum value of discharge pulses) and frequency (number of pulses). It's portable, easy to use, and doesn't interfere with high-voltage equipment operation, enabling accurate fault diagnosis.
