Things To Note When Using A Direct High-Voltage Generator

1. When using the DC high-voltage generator, be sure to read the product manual carefully to understand the working principle and operation process of the product.
2. Install two obvious disconnection points before the working power enters the tester. When replacing the tested product and wiring, the working power disconnection point should be clearly disconnected first.
3. Before the test, check whether the control box, voltage multiplier and tested product of the DC high-voltage generator are connected well.
4. The discharge of the tested product should be discharged through a 100Ω/V discharge resistor rod. The discharge rod should not be immediately in contact with the tested product during discharge. The discharge rod should be gradually brought close to the tested product. When the air gap starts to discharge freely at a certain distance, there will be a hissing sound. When there is no sound, the discharge rod can be used to discharge at the ground end, and finally directly connected to the ground wire for discharge.
5. At 220KV and above, although the operator wears insulating boots and stands outside a safe distance, due to the influence of the electric field distribution of DC high-voltage ions in space, several adjacent standing bodies will have different DC potentials. Operators should not shake hands with each other or touch the ground point with their hands, otherwise there will be a slight electric shock. This phenomenon often occurs in dry areas and areas where it is more obvious in winter, but it generally does not cause harm to the human body due to its low energy.
6. After the test, the ground wire must be hung to the high-voltage output end before the high-voltage lead can be removed.
